Henny Valenzuela became the Children’s Minister at St. Francis Church in 2013. She was born and raised in Paraguay, South America, in a German community where she started teaching Sunday school at the age of 16. She responded to God’s calling into the children’s ministry and had the opportunity to come to the USA in 1999 to attend Rio Grande Bible Institute, Edinburg, TX. Her emphasis was Christian Education and she feels blessed to be able to serve the Lord in children’s and women’s ministry. While working in child care she also had the opportunity to complete three semesters toward her Child Development Associate degree. Henny is fluent in German, Spanish, and English.

Before coming to the USA, she worked as a general manager in the local library and bookstore. Reading and volleyball have always been her favorite hobbies. At the Bible Institute she met her now husband Julio Valenzuela and they have two wonderful kids, Natania and Roy. Together they enjoy traveling, barbecuing, the outdoors, reading, and just having fun with friends.
